I suppose the replacement for the APP FEED is not news and news and news. News is bad - there's some stinky loser you does the Gothamist newsletter who seems like a bystander who gets beat up in one of those mid80s surf coming of age movies. I shouldn't care about that.
There's some time to read the news or your email or go out to concerts or listen to music instead but the time you fill with the APP FEED has to be something else. Like PAYING ATTENTION at work or LISTENING TO YOUR BOYFRIEND TALK ABOUT SPORTS. The NBA is OD Saudi right now,, man. Steve Cohen needs to go, man. The past You can't go from beer to something else but you can't funnily go from beer to NA. True NAs not .5s, I'm suspicious as fuck of those. True NAs pass the time the way that beer LOOKS like it does for other people.
You don't have a disease - EVERYONE in the WESTERN world is exposed to the alcohol mind virus. Go to as many meetings as you can and then stop abruptly. Your day to day should be challenging as a means to gather things for other people and otherwise chilling. I don't want to be smart anymore. MY mind is wrecked, absolutely wrecked. Social media is completely unusable - you have to set reminders on your google calendar to reach out to people. You have to call them or something. We should invade Sweden to depose Spotify. They're not even a good service to be paying like that.
But anyway. A lot of things get boring when you can't drink. Even more boring when you won't drink, when you think drinking is wack. A baseball game is literally just a baseball game. Boring Boring Boring. Après ski. Family cookout. Happy hours for work. Work bowling. Weddings. I was never afraid of this stuff when I was stopping drinking because I knew they would just be so boring. But I would much rather get in an argument about how boring happy hour was rather than drink or something like that.
